Nowadays presenting content with only static text isn’t the only way to transfer your thoughts to your visitors . Simply put , Internet technologies has made an enormous progress and provide us many options to present our content with alternative ways . Just to mention Flash , Silverlight , Slideshare , YouTube , Vimeo ,  Myspace …. All these technologies make your content more expressive and keeps the interest of your visitors on a high level .

This article will list some simple methods for embedding Vimeo  video- content on the three most used CMS applications , WordPress – Joomla  and Drupal .

WordPress 3 :

To quickly embed a Vimeo video, simply copy the video’s URL from your web browser’s address bar while viewing the video and paste it on a line by itself in your post/page editor . Make sure the Vimeo link is not hyperlinked. If the URL is shown in blue,  then it is hyperlinked. Simply select the whole URL and click the “Unlink” icon on your Visual Editor toolbar .
If you’d like to specify a particular width and height for the video ( the default width and height of the embedded video is 400×300.) , you’ll want to create a shortcode. Use one of the following formats , be sure to replace the URL/video ID listed here with the URL or video ID of your video .

Joomla 1.6 :

If you want to embed videos from popular video sharing sites like YouTube , then Easy Embed Video is the easiest way to insert it . The plugin supports site like YouTube, Google video, ustream.tv, Revver , Myspace, Vimeo, Break and Mpora . This plugin is compatible only with Joomla 1.6 . To use the plugin , install it using the Joomla interface and then  paste link to video page , flash player will appear in your article automatically .The home page for this plugin is here >>>>

Drupal  :

These are the modules that I have installed on Drupal  but some dependency  issues makes this module not functional on Drupal 7.2 .
