How To Remove Login From The Front Page on Drupal 7 June 27, 2011

Posted by Tournas Dimitrios in Drupal 7.2.

Drupal is a well known CMS framework for creating simple to enterprise level websites . On certain types of websites, most access is anonymous by the general public. A login panel is therefore distracting and wastes space. However, login needs to be available for those few users who maintain the site content or otherwise adminster it .

Removing the login panel from the front page is simple as :

  1. Log in to the administration panel
  2. In Structure => Blocks find the User Login element and click on Configure. Under the section “Show block on specific pages” select the “Only the listed pages” radio-button and enter “user” .
  3. Save the changes and voila !!! , the login panel disappears from all pages .
  4. Login can now be done by navigating to : http://yourdomain.com/user
