Posted by Tournas Dimitrios in Wordpress - 3.

By default , WordPress has its own logo on the log-in screen . A good practice is to customize this screen with the overall look of our website . There  are many ways to accomplish this task , let’s see some ….

  • Upload via FTP an image with the following dimensions 280×80  in the location of your server
    Web-Root/htdocs/wp-admin/images/  (logo-login.gif)
  • Alternatively download  , install and activate a Plug-in : Custom logo . This will add an tag on your admin panel  Admin-Panel ->Settings -> Custom-Logo
    Upload an image (280×80) via your admin panel : Admin -> media -> add-new  , caution note the URL-link .  Finally goto  Admin-Panel -> Settings -> Custom-Logo and paste the URL from previous step . Store the changes and you are done ….
  • An alternative approach is through pure coding  Open the following file and customize the background color with CSS : Web-Root/htdocs/wp-admin/CSS/colors-fresh.css
    ===OR configure an bg-image ===
    html,.wp-dialog{background:url(“http://yourdomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/bg-image.jpg”) repeat-y scroll center top transparent;}
    This file (colors-fresh.css) has many style options like : color/size of the login error message , border-color, border-top-color and more
